The Labor & Delivery unit functions within a busy perinatal services platform that manages complex obstetric cases and advanced maternal care. As Maternity Services Manager, you will oversee day-to-day operations across the birthing center environment, including staffing strategy, patient flow, regulatory readiness, and quality initiatives. This high-acuity L&D setting requires decisive leadership and strong collaboration with obstetricians, maternal-fetal medicine specialists, anesthesia, neonatology, and postpartum teams. You will influence practice standards, support evidence-based perinatal protocols, and maintain a care model that balances safety, efficiency, and a patient-centered experience. Visibility on the unit is essential; this is an operationally hands-on leadership role with true ownership of outcomes. Reporting to senior nursing leadership, the Women’s Services Nurse Manager partners closely with physician leaders and fellow nurse managers across perioperative, neonatal, and ancillary departments. The role carries full accountability for staffing plans, budget stewardship, professional development, performance management, and departmental metrics. You will mentor emerging charge nurses, guide succession planning, and represent Labor and Delivery in interdisciplinary forums focused on throughput, safety, and service line growth.
