Job Summary:

The position of Pediatric Psychology Nurse in Oregon City, Oregon, is a clinical role within a pediatric and adolescent inpatient acute crisis unit. This role involves providing specialized psychiatric nursing care to pediatric and adolescent patients experiencing mental health crises. Candidates are required to bring their valid nursing license on the first day of employment. The position includes rotating shifts, and the nurse will float between units based on facility needs.

• Required Qualifications: Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, pending Psych Registered Nurse (RN) license, at least 1 year of relevant experience, travel experience required, proficiency in electronic medical records systems (Epic)


• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with child and adolescent psychiatric nursing, trauma and stressor-related disorders experience, seclusion protocols, physical hold procedures, blood glucose monitoring, medication administration, psychoeducation, and experience with pediatric and adolescent inpatient units


• Additional Information: Candidates must have a vehicle for this assignment. All scheduling requests, including special considerations for holidays such as Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day, must be requested during submittal. The role may require floating between different facilities and units within the organization.
