Job Description

The Production Associate supports a high-volume manufacturing operation by assembling fiberglass, aluminum, and wood door products according to detailed work orders. This role involves reading and interpreting specifications, safely handling materials, operating hand and power tools, and performing quality inspections to ensure all finished products meet established standards. You work in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and safe material handling are essential.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret work orders to understand door specifications, required components, and assembly instructions.
• Locate, pull, and prepare door slabs and parts needed for each production order.
• Use hand and power tools, including routers, saws, drills, and nailers, to assemble fiberglass, aluminum, and wood products.
• Work comfortably around fiberglass materials while using appropriate personal protective equipment provided by the employer.
• Move doors and materials between production stations, including safely handling products weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Perform assembly and fabrication tasks to build doors and related components according to quality and safety standards.
• Inspect completed work for defects, production errors, and quality concerns, and take corrective action as needed.
• Operate production machinery and equipment as required for general production and packaging activities.
• Package and prepare finished products for shipment or further processing, ensuring proper labeling and handling.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, following all safety procedures and guidelines.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment to meet production goals and deadlines.
• Collaborate with team members and follow direction from supervisors to support smooth workflow across production stations.

Essential Skills

• At least 1 year of manufacturing or general production experience.
• Experience with assembly and fabrication in a production or industrial setting.
• Ability to safely use hand tools and power tools, including routers, saws, drills, and nailers.
• Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with fiberglass, aluminum, and wood materials.
• Ability to read and follow work orders, blueprints, or production instructions.
• Capability to lift, carry, and move products and materials weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Attention to detail and strong quality inspection skills to identify defects and production errors.
• Experience with general labor tasks such as packing, packaging, and material handling.
• Basic machine operation skills in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment.
• Commitment to safe material handling and adherence to all safety procedures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in door assembly, fabrication, or similar building materials manufacturing is a plus.
• Comfort working with various hand tools and power tools beyond those listed, as needed for production.
• Familiarity with reading blueprints or technical diagrams for manufacturing processes.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills to coordinate tasks within the production line.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing training and development to advance to higher skill levels.
• Reliability and punctuality for consistent 1st shift work and overtime when required.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Milton, WI.

The pay range for this position is $44720.00 - $44720.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
