Job Summary: The Interim High School Principal works collaboratively with System leaders and campus staff to ensure fulfillment of the mission of the St. Francis Xavier Catholic School System. The Xavier Interim High School Principal provides instructional and faith leadership for this Catholic learning community.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Mission & Catholic Identity

Embrace the mission and vision of St. Francis Xavier Catholic School System and the Catholic Diocese of Green Bay and work in accordance with Catholic Social Teachings and the moral and ethical values of the Catholic Church.
Promote opportunities for the spiritual development of staff, students and families and fosters the Christian values of justice, peace and service.
Conduct personal and professional life in a manner that models a believing, practicing Catholic and fosters evangelization.
Foster collaboration with families, clergy, and organizations who entrust their children to our educational programs.
Cultivate our students' talents, passions, and spirituality so they can impact the community by living the Gospel message of faith, hope, justice, and charity.
Plan, develop and promote quality Catholic high school education by initiating and overseeing prayer, liturgy, campus ministry and service at the campus and in the community.

Academic Excellence

Collaborate with the Director of HR in the hiring process for new faculty and staff.
Organize and direct school personnel including teachers, support staff and chaplain.
In collaboration with the Director of Learning to facilitate campus specific professional development and training for employees.
In collaboration with the Director of Learning and Associate Principal supervise and coach faculty.
Oversee instructional activities to maximize teaching and student learning in Grades 9-12.
Collaborate with System leadership and campus leaders to ensure growth of our students in a safe environment.
Assist with the organization, analysis and dissemination of academic data to faculty to monitor student growth and curriculum implementation- including: PreACT, ACT, STAR and AP data.

Leadership

Work collaboratively with System leadership and campus staff to fulfill the mission of Xavier System.
Promote and maintain strong Catholic educational leadership by serving as a member of the Senior Leadership Team.
Work collaboratively with families to ensure student growth, success and well-being of all students.
Communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
Direct or attend school, diocesan and parent meetings and other professional and co-curricular activities as assigned.

Campus Management

Oversee campus operations to ensure a safe learning environment and effective use of human and financial resources.
Manage school safety plan and all safety protocols and procedures including TECIP/OASIS process.
Collaborate with the Director of Finance in designing and managing campus budget.
Collaborate with the Director of Admissions in the recruitment of new students and families.
Collaborate with the Director of Advancement to support all advancement activities and events.
Supervise XHS Athletic Director to ensure effective administration of the athletic program.
Lead school tours with prospective students and families to showcase the campus and Xavier System.
Understand and comply with all diocesan, System and campus policies.

Education and Experience:

At least five years of teaching experience required; experience in a Catholic school preferred.
Experience in a Catholic school and leading a faith community preferred.

Skills/Abilities:

Active participation in Foundational Catechetical Certification (FCC).
Knowledge and implementation of relevant technology.
Practicing Catholic.

Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others, especially with students and families engaged in our Catholic school.
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
