Job Summary and Qualifications

The Pharmacy Clinical Specialist is an experienced practitioner with advance clinical skills; he or she provides direct patient-specific pharmacotherapy and clinical services to the hospital patients following current, evidence-based guidelines and in conformity of applicable medication management standards. The Pharmacy Clinical Specialist is a medication management resource to the patient care team.

What qualifications you will need:

• Current Nevada license to practice pharmacy or eligibility required.
• Must be a graduate of a college of pharmacy accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE) leading to a Bachelor of Science or Doctorate degree in Pharmacy.
• Completion of an accredited residency program or Pharm.D. with a minimum of three years clinical pharmacy practice in a predominantly collaborative pharmacotherapy setting is required or B.S. of Pharmacy with a minimum of five years clinical pharmacy practice in a predominantly collaborative pharmacotherapy setting is required.
• Current Board Certification in Pharmacotherapy or other clinical specialties is preferred.
• Prior experience providing pharmacotherapy in a collaborative institutional setting required.
• Prior experience providing education/instruction to health care professionals required.
• Minimum of 1yr Peds experience is required
• NICU experience preferred
