Position Summary The Project Manager leads heavy civil construction projects from planning through completion. This role is responsible for delivering projects safely, on time, within scope, and within budget while maintaining the highest quality standards. The Project Manager works closely with internal teams, DOT representatives, owners, and subcontractors to ensure successful project outcomes and promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage all phases of construction projects to meet safety, schedule, budget, and quality goals Develop project plans, schedules, and construction strategies in collaboration with Superintendents and project teams Oversee contract administration, including subcontracts, change orders, and compliance requirements Monitor project progress and proactively adjust plans to ensure successful delivery Manage project financials, including cost tracking, forecasting, and P&L responsibility Ensure work meets quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements Lead, mentor, and develop project engineers and field staff Coordinate and supervise project personnel, subcontractors, and vendors Maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders through clear and consistent communication Promote and enforce a strong safety culture and compliance with all regulations Foster teamwork, accountability, and workforce engagement across project teams Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field 10–15 years of construction management experience (heavy highway/bridge experience strongly preferred) Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, cost control, and contract management Proven leadership, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Valid driver’s license required Primarily on-site, with time split between field locations and regional office Exposure to construction conditions (equipment, heights, confined spaces, weather) May require extended hours, nights, or weekends depending on project demands Travel to project sites required Competitive salary based on experience 401(k) with company contribution Paid time off Company vehicle Professional development and career advancement opportunities Additional Information J.D.
