Job Title IT Asset Management Specialist Employment Type Starting Pay Range Posting Date Full-time $93,342.00 - $116,678.00 11/30/2025 Employment Classification Division Closing Date Regular Technology Services 12/14/2025 CORE COMPETENCIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES The IT Asset Management Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the comprehensive IT asset program. Responsibilities encompass the lifecycle management of hardware and software assets, from onboarding and inventory management through disposal. Additionally, establishes and maintains a centralized change management system to track and document all change requests, approvals, and implementation details. Ensures proper communication and change notifications are provided to all affected parties, including IT staff, end-users, and project stakeholders. Track and follow through all problems by collaborating with other departments to determine root cause, develop resolution suggestions and close out problems. Consistent and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.

• Develops and implements IT asset, change, and problem management policies, processes, and procedures to minimize risks and disruptions caused by changes to IT infrastructure, systems and applications.
• Manage the onboarding and offboarding of all hardware and software requests for the IT environment.
• Track lifecycle replacement and version control for hardware and software assets and notify asset. Owners of pending renewals or replacements.
• Responsible for the maintenance of records and databases containing information regarding licenses, warranties, and service agreements for the organization's hardware and software.
• Establishes and maintains a centralized change management system to track and document all change requests, approvals, and implementation details.
• Monitors and tracks the progress of approved changes, ensuring that they are implemented within scheduled maintenance windows and according to the defined change management process.
• Track and follow through on all incidents, especially critical incidents, to completion to identify any technical inadequacies or process gaps.
• Ensure the root cause analysis for each problem is identified and identify the corrective actions taken to reduce likelihood of repeat incidents.

An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job. REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS 1.
