Reference: PR/592267_1787335844Position OverviewThe Human Resources Manager will serve as a strategic partner to plant and business leadership, driving HR initiatives that support operational excellence and workforce engagement within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources, including employee relations, talent acquisition, performance management, compliance, and organizational development.The ideal candidate will bring a hands-on leadership style, strong knowledge of manufacturing workforce dynamics, and the ability to balance strategic initiatives with day-to-day HR execution.Key ResponsibilitiesHR Leadership & StrategyPartner with plant leadership to develop and execute HR strategies aligned with business objectives and operational goalsAct as a trusted advisor on organizational structure, workforce planning, and talent developmentDrive plant-level initiatives focused on employee engagement, retention, and culture improvementEmployee RelationsManage employee relations issues, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies and proceduresConduct investigations and provide recommendations for resolution in alignment with company policies and employment lawsFoster a positive work environment while supporting a high-performance, accountability-driven cultureTalent Acquisition & Workforce PlanningLead full-cycle recruitment efforts for hourly and salaried roles within the facilityDevelop talent pipelines for critical positions and succession planning initiativesPartner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and implement effective sourcing strategiesPerformance Management & DevelopmentImplement and manage performance management processes, including goal setting, reviews, and development planningCoach managers on employee performance, feedback delivery, and leadership best practicesIdentify training and development needs and coordinate programs to support workforce skill developmentCompensation, Benefits & ComplianceAdminister compensation and benefits programs to ensure competitiveness and complianceEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (including FLSA, EEOC, OSHA, and Louisiana labor regulations)Maintain accurate HR records and reporting metricsHR OperationsOversee onboarding, orientation, and offboarding processesManage HR systems, data reporting, and HR KPIs such as turnover, absenteeism, and time-to-fillSupport payroll and benefits administration in coordination with corporate HR and financeQualificationsEducationBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field requiredHR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) strongly preferredExperience7+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment3+ years of leadership or supervisory experience3-5 years of HR experience in a union environmentProven experience supporting hourly production workforcesSkills & CompetenciesStrong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practicesExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organizationDemonstrated leadership and team management capabilitiesHighly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple prioritiesAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environmentStrong problem-solving and conflict resolution skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience in multi-shift or unionized manufacturing environments (if applicable)Familiarity with HRIS systems and data-driven HR decision-makingExperience supporting safety and compliance initiatives in partnership with EHS teams
