Job Overview Ledgent Finance & Accounting is seeking a Senior Accountant for a temporary hybrid opportunity in Carlsbad. This role is ideal for a sharp, hands‑on accounting professional who can step in quickly, support a busy accounting team, and operate independently in a changing environment. Title: Senior Accountant Location: Carlsbad, CA Schedule: Hybrid, 3 days onsite / 2 days remote Pay: $45–$52 per hour Type: Temporary Duration: Expected through the end of September, with possible extension Start Date: ASAP Hours: Standard business hours, no expected overtime This is a strong opportunity for a Senior Accountant who enjoys hands‑on accounting work, can plug in quickly, and wants to support a well‑established organization during a key transition period. Responsibilities Support general accounting and month‑end close activities Assist with consolidations‑related accounting work Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules Support financial reporting and account analysis Partner with accounting leadership and team members to help maintain deadlines Work through accounting requests in a busy, transitional environment Identify issues, follow up on discrepancies, and help keep accounting processes moving Provide additional accounting support as needed Requirements 3–5+ years of solid accounting experience Senior‑accountant caliber background with hands‑on general accounting experience Strong understanding of journal entries, reconciliations, close support, and account analysis Comfortable working independently while collaborating with a small accounting team Able to adapt quickly in a busy and changing environment Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines Must be comfortable with a hybrid schedule in Carlsbad Nice to Have Public accounting background CPA or CPA track Workday experience #J-18808-Ljbffr
