Location: Lancaster, SC
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM-3:30 PM
Pay: $17.00-$21.00 per hour
Shift: 1st Shift
Position: Full-Time

Position Overview


We are seeking an experienced and mechanically inclined Laser Operator to join our manufacturing team in Lancaster, SC. This position will provide backup and additional support within the laser department, helping increase production flexibility and ensuring consistent workflow.


The ideal candidate will have previous experience operating laser cutting equipment and a solid understanding of manufacturing processes. Experience with our specific laser equipment is not required . Candidates with experience operating different laser platforms or CNC-controlled equipment are encouraged to apply.


Training will be provided on our specific machines, equipment, and processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate laser cutting equipment safely and efficiently to produce precision metal components.
• Set up and monitor laser cutting machines according to production specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions .
• Verify material type, thickness, dimensions, and fabrication requirements before and during production.
• Monitor machine operation and inspect finished parts for quality and accuracy.
• Make basic machine adjustments as needed to maintain production and quality standards.
• Load and unload raw materials and finished components safely.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and communicate equipment or production issues to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate production and quality records.
• Follow established safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Work closely with other members of the manufacturing team to support production goals.
• Learn and become proficient in the company's specific laser equipment and operating processes.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating laser cutting equipment preferred .
• Understanding of laser cutting processes and basic machine operation concepts.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings .
• Knowledge of different material types, thicknesses, and fabrication requirements.
• Previous experience with CNC-controlled equipment is a plus .
• Manufacturing or metal fabrication experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to learn new equipment, technology, and production processes.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team.
• Willingness to receive training on company-specific laser equipment and procedures.

What We're Looking For


We are looking for someone with a strong manufacturing background, technical aptitude, and willingness to learn . Experience with a specific brand or type of laser is not necessary. Candidates who understand laser cutting fundamentals and have experience working with CNC or other automated manufacturing equipment can be trained on our systems.
