Nurse Practitioner

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner to join the Emergency Department team in Alton, Illinois. This role offers the opportunity to practice high-quality emergency medicine in a well-supported, state-of-the-art environment. You will work collaboratively with a team of board-certified emergency physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide efficient and compassionate care to a diverse patient population across all age groups.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency medical care, including patient evaluation, assessment, diagnosis, and treatment plan development.
• Perform acute care stabilization and interpret diagnostic tests.
• Perform full-scope emergency procedures within the NP scope of practice.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians and the broader emergency care team to ensure seamless patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with protocols and patient safety standards.
• Manage patients across the full age spectrum, from pediatric to geriatric.

Qualifications

Education:

• Master's, post-master's, or doctoral degree in Nursing from a program accredited by the CCNE or NLNAC.

Licensure & Certifications:

• Active, unrestricted Illinois Nurse Practitioner license.
• Active Illinois Controlled Substance Registration.
• Active DEA registration with an Illinois address.
• Board Certification from the ANCC, AANP, or an equivalent body approved by the Illinois Board of Nursing.
• Current ACLS, ATLS, and PALS certifications.

Experience:

• Minimum: 2 years of experience in Emergency Medicine is required.
• Recent clinical experience within the past year is required; new graduates may be considered under a waiver.
• Case logs from the past 24 months are required.
