Job Description - Bond Accountant Coordinator (26000418) Position Title: Bond Accountant Coordinator (26000418) Organization Ohio Housing Finance Agency (OHFA) Primary Location 2600 Corporate Exchange Drive, Columbus, OH 43231, United States Schedule Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00 – 5:00 Compensation $30.55 per hour Primary Job Skill Accounting and Finance Agency Overview The Ohio Housing Finance Agency (OHFA) offers affordable housing opportunities for Ohioans from rental assistance to homeownership. OHFA provides access to financial resources for the development and management of affordable housing. The Agency’s programs serve first‑time homebuyers, renters, senior citizens, and other populations with special needs who otherwise might not be able to afford quality housing. Job Description The Office of Finance is looking for a dedicated Accountant (Bond Accountant Coordinator) who will: Create accounting spreadsheets from bond documents Create and explain financial statements and financial reports Provide direction and training to other accountants Locate errors and correct problems in accounting spreadsheets Qualifications Completion of an undergraduate core program in accounting, finance, economics, business administration, or public administration; AND 24 months training or 24 months experience in accounting; AND 12 months training or 12 months experience in employee training and development. OR 48 months training or 48 months experience in accounting; AND 12 months training or 12 months experience in employee training and development. OR equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above. This position will be filled in accordance with the Ohio Civil Service Employees Association (OCSEA) contract. Preference will be given to those candidates who possess experience with bonds payable.
