Registered Nurse - Medical-Surgical

Schedule
Straight Nights: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, Every Other Weekend and Holiday, On Call per Unit Needs

Assignment Details
Contract Length: 6-8 weeks

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical experience required
- Minimum 1 year of travel experience
- High acuity unit experience, mentor or charge experience required
- BLS certification
- Unencumbered state RN License

Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and psychological health upon admission and throughout their hospital stay.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments accurately and monitor patient responses.
- Monitor vital signs and document all patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in accordance with healthcare regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver holistic patient care.
- Educate patients and families on managing conditions and preparing for discharge.

Compliance / Notes
- On-call per unit needs; must be able to arrive within 1 hour if called in.
- 36 hours not guaranteed; potential low-census for up to 12 hours per 2-week pay period.
- Nurses may be required to handle complex patient needs, and must adhere to safety protocols and use of personal protective equipment.
