Greeter | Pelican Brewing Company Location: Lincoln City, Oregon, United States. Overview Provide excellent and attentive customer service by warmly greeting all guests at Pelican, assisting them with seating in a timely fashion, and maintaining a positive and communicative work environment with team members to ensure a memorable guest experience. Responsibilities Host 1 Provide exemplary guest service and communicate effectively with team members. Inform guests of seating status and accurate wait times upon arrival. Warmly greet and acknowledge guests. Answer all phone calls that come to the restaurant kindly and efficiently. Handle cash properly. Obtain food handler’s card. Maintain seating chart and wait times. Keep merchandise area stocked and presentable. Maintain a clean and presentable work environment. Work effectively in a fast‑paced environment and remain calm with unforeseen changes. Assist other service personnel as needed. Perform all duties in accordance with the Family of Companies and Pelican customer service standard. Maintain general knowledge and provide information to guests about Pelican menu items, events, and community involvement. Host 2 – Level 1 plus Seat guests using current seating software. Take to‑go orders using POS software efficiently. Complete Beer School. Host 3 – Level 1 & 2 plus Obtain OLCC permit. Pour beer and sell beer to‑go. Handle cash properly. Qualifications One year restaurant experience. Understanding of restaurant health and safety rules. Excellent and friendly verbal communication skills; ability to remain calm and adapt to changes. Professionalism and ability to resolve conflict. Cash handling experience. Requirements Work on feet for at least 8 hours per shift. Lift, handle, and carry food, supplies, and equipment up to 25 pounds. Bend, kneel, stoop, reach, and squat frequently to receive and store stock, supplies and equipment. Work in an environment with loud noises from restaurant equipment, fumes, odors, dust, and smoke. Schedule Weekends, nights, and holidays may be required.
