Analytical Chemist I

Analytical Chemist I will perform routine analytical testing for pharmaceutical products in a Greenville, NC facility, including chromatographic and spectrophotometric analyses. The role involves data integrity maintenance, method execution, and result evaluation against specifications in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Perform routine analytical testing including assays, dissolution, moisture, and identification analyses
Execute chromatographic and spectrophotometric methods while maintaining data integrity and documentation
Compare laboratory results against specifications and identify trends to confirm compliance
Manage calibration standards and reference materials with proper usage and care
Enter analytical data into established reports, templates, and software systems

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in science-related discipline (Biology, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences)
Associate degree in Biotechnology or Chemistry with one year pharmaceutical analytical chemistry experience
Proficiency in chromatography methods and data review
Ability to lift 10-50 lbs unassisted
Physical capability for extended standing, walking, bending, reaching throughout workday
Experience with HPLC, GC, titrations, UV, and IR analytical techniques
