Director of Marketing

This position functions as both Marketing Director and Physician Liaison. 

Job Summary:

• Develops implements and directs programs designed to increase the market share and enhance the image of the hospital, products, and services to the public. 
• Identifies products and services to diversify the hospital through data, develops programs to heighten awareness of the community as to the quality and breadth of care available at the hospital. 
• The Director is the administrative liaison with the hospital auxiliary. 
• Assists the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) with the physician recruitment and retention program/liaison.
• The Marketing Director must be involved in the community at every level to always put the hospital and clinics in a positive view.  Marketing the hospital through any form a written, verbal, and technical media. 

Ensures the hospital and all service lines are clearly the best consumer choice by:

• Making weekly sales calls to physicians and other providers to promote products, services and remove barriers to using the hospital.
• Developing marketing plans for hospital, clinics and products and services.
• Serving as media spokesperson and develops media leads to promote the hospital and clinics.
• Developing internal and external communications tools.
• Planning, promoting, and coordinating PR activities.
• Analyzing strategic information to develop plans to address.
• Developing collateral materials for services.
• Coordinating with corporate advertising and direct mail campaigns.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience managing media relations.
• Experience managing projects, people and budgets.
• Strong work ethic, self-directed, independent, and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrated experience working effectively and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to exceptional customer service.
• Ability to handle multiple, high-priority tasks efficiently and in a timely manner.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience in Marketing and/or Public Relations. 
• Healthcare experience is strongly preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, business or administrative area required. 
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint required.
• Familiarity with Adobe design products preferred.
