IT Development Team Lead / Full-Time / Hybrid (Washington DC / Northern Virginia)
Our client is a well-established organization within the scientific and technology distribution industry. Based in the Washington, DC area, they are looking to hire an IT Development Team Lead on a direct hire/permanent basis .
This is an outstanding opportunity for a senior software engineer ready to step into a leadership role while remaining hands-on technically. You'll lead a team of three developers and play a key role in modernizing the company's technology stack, including a migration from Microsoft Dynamics NAV to Dynamics 365 Business Central. Salary: $125,000 - $135,000 + benefits + 14% annual bonus based on individual and company performance

• 10+ years of software development experience
• 5+ years leading, mentoring, or coordinating development teams
• Strong knowledge of SDLC methodologies and software engineering best practices
• Experience with project management tools such as Jira
• Microsoft technology stack expertise
• Microsoft Dynamics NAV and/or Dynamics 365 Business Central experience
• SQL Server development and administration experience
• EDI B2B integration experience
• Experience with Microsoft BizTalk and/or Cleo integration platforms
• Knowledge of cXML frameworks
• Programming experience with C#, Java, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Ability to work in a hands-on, small-team environment

Daily Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of three developers
• Manage day-to-day software development activities and priorities
• Participate hands-on in application development and enhancements
• Support Dynamics ERP and EDI/eCommerce integrations
• Conduct code reviews and enforce development standards
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to define requirements
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues
• Optimize existing applications and systems
• Maintain documentation and SDLC best practices
• Identify opportunities to leverage new technologies
• Partner with IT leadership on future development initiatives
