RCLMechanicalislookingforanexperienced ResidentialPlumbing&HVACWorkingFieldLeadTechnician whocanrepresentourcorevalueswhileprovidingstrongtechnicalleadershipandsupporttoourresidentialfieldteam.

Thisindividualwillnotonlysuperviseandsupportourtechnicians—theywillalsoworkinthefieldperformingresidentialservice,diagnostic,repair,andinstallationworkaspartoftheirregularresponsibilities.

Wearelookingforsomeonewhocanleadfromthefield.Onedayyoumayberunningyourownservicecalls,andthenextyoumaybeassistingatechnicianwithadifficultdiagnosis,inspectinganinstallation,coachingateammember,orhelpingresolveacustomerconcern.

YouwillworkcloselywithourServiceManagertoimprovefieldefficiency,technicalperformance,quality,accountability,andcustomersatisfaction.Theidealcandidateisahighlyexperiencedresidentialtechnicianwhocanconfidentlyperformtheworkthemselveswhilealsoteachinganddevelopingothers.

Field&TechnicalResponsibilitie s

Runresidentialservicecallsandperformbillablefieldworkaspartoftheregularworkweek
Diagnose,service,repair,andinstallresidentialPlumbing,HVAC,andheatingequipmentwithintheindividual'squalificationsandlicensing
Troubleshootcomplexmechanicalandsystem-performanceissues
Workhands-onwith:
- Oil-firedheatingsystems
- Gas-firedheatingsystems
- Boilersandhydronicheatingsystems
- Furnaces
- Heatpumps
- Mini-splitsystems
- Centralairconditioningsystems
- Domestichotwatersystems
- Residentialplumbingsystems
Properlydiagnosecustomerconcernsandpresentappropriaterepairandreplacementoptions
Identifylegitimateservice,repair,andreplacementopportunities
Completeworkordersandrequireddocumentationaccuratelyandontime
MaintainRCLMechanical'sstandardsforworkmanship,cleanliness,safety,andcustomerservice
Participateinthefieldworkloadandhelpthedepartmentmeetproductivityandrevenuegoals

Assistwithdifficultcustomersituationswhenfieldleadershiportechnicalexpertiseisneeded
Maintainopencommunicationbetweentechnicians,Dispatch,CustomerService,andmanagement
WorkcloselywiththeServiceManagertoaddressperformance,technical,operational,andcustomerissues
LeadbyexampleandreinforceRCLMechanical'sstandards,expectations,andcorevalues

MinimumJobRequirements

5+yearsofhands-onresidentialPlumbingand/orHVACserviceexperience
Strongknowledgeandhands-onexperienceservicingandtroubleshootingoil-firedheatingsystemsrequired
Mustbewillingandableto regularlyperformservicecallsandfieldworkinadditiontosupervisoryresponsibilities
Strongworkingknowledgeofresidentialheatingandcoolingsystems,including:
- Oil-firedheatingsystems
- Gas-firedheatingsystems
- Boilersandhydronicheatingsystems
- Furnaces
- Heatpumps
- Mini-splitsystems
