Caregiver

Home Instead is seeking Care Professionals supporting multiple clients with different care needs in the Lancaster, Boscobel and Bloomington area. Depending on the client and shift, you may provide hands‑on personal care and frequent dementiacueing, or focus more on companionship, light housekeeping, organization, errands, and community outings. We're looking for Care Pros who are patient, attentive, comfortable providing consistent direction and reassurance, and able to adapt their approach to each client's individual routines and needs. Reliable transportation and comfort driving clients are important for these assignments. Pay Competitive Pay: $16.00 – $18.00/hour $1/hr additional for Weekends Paid training Schedule Day Hours from 8 am. to 4 pm. Evening Hours from 4 pm. to 8 pm. Coverage needed Monday – Sunday Strong attendance, consistency, and communication are essential. Must possess valid driver’s license and car insurance coverage Required Skills Willing and able to provide bathing/toileting and hands‑on personal care Experienced with dementia care including frequent, patient cueing and redirection Attentive during meals and able to cue clients as needed Offer medication and eye-drop reminders according to established routines Demonstrates safe transfer and mobility skills appropriate to the assignment Enjoys companionship, conversation and meaningful engagement—not just completing tasks Willing to assist with light housekeeping and home organization Comfortable around dogs and cats Has reliable transportation and willing to drive clients to appointments, errands and community outings Availability aligns with the required recurring shifts Understands the importance of consistency, communication, and documentation Benefits Paid Time Off (PTO) Access to employer-sponsored health benefits 401K with company match up to 4% Holiday pay Hands‑on + online training Supportive office team with 24/7 on-call support Become part of a team that values compassion, connection, collaboration, creativity, integrity, and accountability.
