Travel Nurse RN - Labor and Delivery - $3,500 per week

Magnet Medical is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Fairbanks, Alaska.

Job Description & Requirements

Shift: 12-hour shifts (days)

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience in a hospital setting.
• Previous travel nursing experience required.
• Recent experience with:
  • Postpartum care
  • Couplet care
  • Circulating for C-sections

Preferred Experience

• 5+ years of RN experience.

Licensure & Certifications

• Active Alaska RN license required.
• Certifications:
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • NRP
  • Fetal Monitoring
• If not currently licensed in Alaska at the time of submission, the candidate must begin the licensing application within 24 hours of offer acceptance .

Scheduling Requirements

• Floating: Required to all departments as needed.
• Weekends: 6 weekend shifts every 6-week schedule.
• On-Call: 3 on-call shifts every 6-week schedule.
• Holidays: As required by unit needs.

Time Off

• Up to 14 days of requested time off (RTO) may be approved.
• Maximum of 4 weekend shifts may be requested off.
• All RTO must be submitted at the time of candidate submission.

Housing

• Free housing provided for one occupant .
• Pet-friendly housing is not available .

Traveler Eligibility

• Candidate's permanent residence must be more than 50 miles from Fairbanks, Alaska .

Unit Information

• 17-bed Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum (LDRP) unit
• PRN staff work in:
  • Labor & Delivery
  • Postpartum
  • Couplet Care
  • Triage
• Approximately 80 deliveries per month .
