Veterinary Technician - Neurology

About the Position BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring a Neurology Veterinary Technician. Responsibilities Set up constant rate infusions (CRI). Calculate all medical math including advanced CRI (mcg/mg, %/mg, etc). Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia. Set up for MRI and CT procedures. Discharge neuro patients from the hospital, providing basic client education such as manual bladder expression, sling walking, range of motion, etc., and provide nursing care to stable patients according to hospital standards. Perform call backs and refill medications. Conduct client education, gather histories and communicate them to the clinician. Perform physical exams and accurately record vital signs. Understand normal vital parameters. Comfortable with IVC placement and venipuncture. Operate all brands of intravenous fluid pumps and troubleshoot errors.
