ER RN Job Details – Corpus Christi, TX Location: Corpus Christi, Texas 78412 Facility Type: Level II Trauma Center Emergency Department (16 beds, 8 hall chairs) Position Type: Locum Tenens / Travel Nursing Contract Start Date: September 22, 2025 End Date: December 22, 2025 Assignment Length: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (12-hour day shifts; 12 Hour Days) Weekly Hours: 36 hours Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1680-$1730 Patient Ratio: 1:4 (may increase to 1:6 for low acuity patients) EMR System: Meditech Preferred Scrub Color: Royal Blue Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Texas or compact state Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room (ER) nursing experience (2+ years preferred) Experience in Level II or Level III trauma centers required Current BLS and ACLS certifications One of the following: TNCC, ENPC, or PALS certification CEN or TCRN, CPI certifications preferred Strong clinical skills in compassion, urgency, and teamwork EMTALA training (required upon hire) ER Nurse Responsibilities Deliver high-quality, timely emergency care to patients across all ESI levels (1-5) Conduct patient assessments, documentation, medication administration, wound care, splinting, IV insertion, urine collection, and lab draws Operate and monitor cardiac monitors, Baxter IV pumps, HPs, Tonopen, and other emergency department equipment Participate in mandatory shift huddles at 7am and 7pm (unless providing critical care) Collaborate with charge nurses, triage nurses, techs, and multidisciplinary healthcare support staff Foster a positive, team-oriented environment focused on patient satisfaction and engagement Why Choose Corpus Christi, Texas for Your Next ER Nursing Job?
