About Us United Community Options of South Florida serves children and adults with a wide range of needs and abilities, including physical, intellectual, neurological, and developmental disabilities. We support individuals with conditions such as cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, autism spectrum disorder, Prader‑Willi syndrome, epilepsy, traumatic brain injury (TBI), and those who are medically fragile or technology dependent. Many of our programs also serve typically developing children and adolescents. Learn more about our organization at: Location South Florida - North Group Home - Memorial GH, Miami, FL 33161 Essential Responsibilities Provide direct care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, grooming, dressing, toileting, meal preparation, and household tasks. Encourage independence, self‑advocacy, and participation in community activities. Support individuals during recreational, social, educational, and community outings. Implement Individual Support Plans (ISPs), behavior support plans, and other service plans. Monitor and document consumer progress, behaviors, health concerns, and daily activities. Assist with medication administration and health‑related monitoring as trained and authorized. Complete required documentation, including daily reports, incident reports, and program records. Provide transportation to appointments, activities, and community events when required. Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive living environment. Follow all agency policies, safety procedures, confidentiality requirements, and emergency protocols. Collaborate effectively with supervisors, healthcare professionals, family members, and team members. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Previous experience in human services, healthcare, behavioral health, education, caregiving, or developmental disabilities preferred. Valid Florida Driver's License with an acceptable driving record. Ability to pass required background screenings and drug testing. CPR and First Aid Certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire. Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to safely assist individuals with mobility, transfers, and daily living activities.
