About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year in Labor and Delivery, including circulating C-sections License: Current RN License in the state of practice Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN or C-EFM Must-Have: Ability to float to other departments as needed Description: Performs independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted practice standards. Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care. Evaluates health status through the ongoing collection and assessment of health data. Performs health teaching and health counseling. Provides therapy and treatment that is supportive and restorative to life and well-being, either directly to the patient or indirectly through consultation, delegation, supervision, or teaching of others. Executes delegated medical functions. Refers patients as needed for further evaluation or treatment. Reviews and monitors therapy and treatment plans. Documents in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines. Uses resources as needed. Promotes the mission, vision, and values of the organization and abides by service behavior standards. Performs other duties as assigned. May be required to float to other departments based on business needs. May be required to be on-call during regularly scheduled shifts. Works a combination of seven Friday and Saturday night shifts over an eight-week period. Participates in required on-call shifts for night coverage.
