Job Description

Position Overview\n

Mind Matters Healthcare Services is looking for a dedicated and skilled Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in a hybrid model. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to deliver impactful mental health support to clients while enjoying the flexibility to create your own schedule. As a vital member of our counseling team, you will play an essential role in guiding clients through their mental health journeys and fostering their growth.

About the Organization\n

At Mind Matters Healthcare Services, we prioritize mental health and well-being, providing a supportive environment for both clients and employees. Our organization is committed to excellence in mental health care, focusing on evidence-based practices and client-centered solutions. We operate an outpatient office in Palmdale, California, supplemented by a remote model that reflects our dedication to accessibility and convenience in mental health services.

Work Environment\n

The hybrid work model allows you to integrate remote counseling sessions with in-person interactions at our outpatient office. This flexibility means that you can manage your work environment effectively while providing care that meets the diverse needs of your clients. The clientele you will work with consists of stable adults with low acuity mental health challenges, all of whom are pre-screened to ensure an appropriate fit for your counseling style.

Key Responsibilities\n
    \n
  • Conduct individual counseling sessions for clients through secure video conferencing and in-person appointments, facilitating discussions that encourage emotional expression and self-awareness.
  • \n
  • Evaluate clients' mental health statuses by using clinical assessments and observations, subsequently developing personalized treatment plans that address their unique circumstances.
  • \n
  • Implement solution-focused therapeutic approaches, tailoring methodologies to fit the individual needs of clients while promoting positive outcomes.
  • \n
  • Advocate for client needs by helping them establish and pursue realistic goals and strategies in their mental health journey.
  • \n
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client documentation, while minimizing paperwork to prioritize your focus on client care.
  • \n
  • Participate in regular team meetings to discuss case progress, share insights, and collaborate on improving therapy techniques conducive to client success.
  • \n
Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your clients will primarily consist of stable adults managing low acuity mental health concerns, such as anxiety and mild depression. You will not handle severe mental health cases, allowing you to concentrate on personalized counseling that fosters long-term wellness. Additionally, clients are matched based on your areas of expertise and demographic preferences, ensuring a rewarding and effective counseling relationship.

Qualifications\n
    \n
  • A Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology is required.
  • \n
  • Current and unrestricted licensure to practice independently in California, including qualifications as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
  • \n
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing effective treatment plans and employing various therapeutic techniques.
  • \n
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a deep sense of empathy for clients.
  • \n
  • Strong proficiency with technology and clinical software to manage patient records and conduct telehealth sessions.
  • \n
Preferred Experience\n
    \n
  • Prior experience in outpatient mental health settings, particularly with adult populations.
  • \n
  • Proficiency with evidence-based practices and familiarity with providing remote therapy.
  • \n
  • Experience in setting and achieving client-focused goals and outcomes.
  • \n
Compensation and Benefits\n
    \n
  • Enjoy a competitive salary range from $115,000 to $130,000 annually, based on hours worked and experience.
  • \n
  • Receive a monthly healthcare stipend to support your well-being as a full-time counselor.
  • \n
  • Weekly direct deposit of earnings, ensuring timely compensation.
  • \n
  • We handle client referrals and bookings to ensure a steady flow of appointments, allowing you to maintain a balanced workload.
  • \n
  • Access to comprehensive support services, including billing assistance and a top-quality counselor dashboard to streamline your practice.
  • \n
