A Day in the Life As a Business Support Specialist, you will provide essential support to managers and employees at our Northwest Houston office, located at 20465 State Highway 249, Suite 300, Houston, TX 77070. You will assist with daily operational needs and contribute to the company’s broader administrative and project‑related activities. This is a dynamic, fast‑paced role that blends technical project support, executive support, and office operations. The ideal candidate brings strong customer service experience, thrives in a collaborative environment, demonstrates exceptional attention to detail, communicates proactively, stays organized, and consistently meets deadlines. The hourly range for this role is $29/hr. to $36/hr. commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location. To thrive in this role,you’llbe comfortable taking ownership of the following responsibilities: Technical Administrative Support – 50% Prepare and manipulate complex Microsoft Excel spreadsheets as necessary to support the Air Practice leadership. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required, with demonstrated ability to apply formulas such as SUM, AVERAGE, IF, SUMIF(S), COUNTIF(S), and INDEX/MATCH, as well as basic statistical functions to analyze datasets and generate reports. Prepare and revise presentations, documents, reports, and correspondence to support Air leadership, including Microsoft Word and PowerPoint Support and manage internal projects and tasks, track deadlines, and follow up on action items Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion Project Technical support – 25% Provide technical support to project managers as required, including emission calculations and the preparation of regulatory forms and tables, etc. Assist project managers with permit public notice activities such as coordination of newspaper postings and ordering signage Provide support to project managers with cost estimating tools, contract acquisition, Salesforce administration, and other financial-related components required for project execution General Office Operations – 25% Manage visitor logistics and office suite access, greet visitors and maintain a welcoming, professional office environment Serve as the primary liaison between the office and building management Manage office supply/break room snack inventory and place orders as required Coordinate office-wide and group meetings and lunches Assist with planning company events, team activities, and office‑wide communications Manage complex calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate appointments, executive travel, conference arrangements, itineraries, logistics, and company-wide meetings and conference room bookings Handle incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries Your Expertise and Skills These qualifications reflect the knowledge, skills, and abilities that will help you succeed in this role.
