Consumer Performance & Risk Analytics Specialist

The Consumer Performance and Risk Analyst is responsible for the development, maintenance and administration of key performance indicators (KPIs) and/or key risk indicators (KRIs) in the first line of defense for the Consumer line of business. The position reports to the Consumer Banking Standards, Performance, and Risk Manager and supports consumer operational performance and risk measurement for branch operations. Responsibilities Review weekly audit request postings for Retail and Private Bank, including appropriate sample selection, tracking, and troubleshooting as needed. Evaluate key performance indicators for the Retail and Private Banking work stream and assess operational performance of the Consumer line. Communicate KPIs to Retail and Private Banking teams. Administer the program that assesses final errors for reporting and ensures accurate reflection of consumer operational performance. Report key performance indicators according to the program’s scheduled frequency. Administer weekly audit documentation requests for Retail key performance indicators. Evaluate and review audit documentation submitted by Retail and Private Banking teams for KPI reporting. Prepare the Consumer Banking KPI dashboards for monthly publication to Consumer Banking teams. Monitor and maintain department email inboxes to support the Consumer Delivery Team’s KPI reporting needs. Develop and administer key risk indicators for Retail and Private Bank. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. 3+ years of experience in banking, analytics, compliance, or a related field. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Objective evaluation of work product without bias. Strong rapport‑building skills with multiple departments to obtain and document information. Ability to learn, document, evaluate, and analyze processes that identify key risks and controls. Strong problem‑solving skills. Bonus Points 3+ years of experience in the production, processing, or evaluation of documentation related to Consumer Banking operational processes. Microsoft Power BI creation and design capabilities. Systemic or functional knowledge of UMB Bank’s loan or deposit systems. Experience with Digital One / Terafina. Experience with Hogan DDA/CIS. Experience with the Online Pledge System. Experience with the Teller Auditing System. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Compensation $44,790.00 - $86,510.00. The posted compensation range represents UMB’s standard for this role; actual compensation may vary by geographic location, experience level, and other job‑related factors.
