Registered Nurse - Dementia Specialty

Location: Athens, TN

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Shift: 19:00 - 07:30

Job Description: The role involves providing nursing care to dementia patients, specifically focusing on those with behavioral disturbances. The candidate will work within a geriatric behavioral health unit, engaging with patients and ensuring their needs are met with a compassionate and calm approach.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care to geriatric patients with dementia.
• Monitor and report on patient behaviors and responses to treatment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement care plans.
• Maintain accurate patient records using the EHR system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• 1+ years of experience working with dementia patients.
• Active RN license in Tennessee.
• BLS certification.
• Check against the Tennessee Abuse Registry prior to assignment start date.
