Youth Programs Intern — Data & Content Track

Kids for the Future

Location 16500 TIREMAN ST,DETROIT, MI, 48228-3629,United States Base Pay $17.00 / Hour Job Category Bank of America, Student Leaders Employee Type Internship Track A: Community Research & Data Collection (2–3 Interns) This track addresses one of BGCGD’s most pressing summer needs: executing weekly pulse‑check surveys and facilitating youth and parent focus groups across all five club locations. Interns will own the full data pipeline from administering surveys to analyzing results and producing CQI (Continuous Quality Improvement) reports for club staff. Core Responsibilities Administer weekly member pulse‑check satisfaction surveys at club locations Facilitate age‑segmented youth focus groups (e.g., ages 6–9, 10–12, 13+) at each club Facilitate separate parent focus groups (distinct from CBI conversations) Compile and analyze weekly data; produce club‑level CQI summary reports Develop and refine a focus group playbook for future staff use Deliver a final data summary presentation for the July 30 board meeting Why This Works Surveys are already built — interns administer, not design them Low‑stakes enough that interns can lead without deep organizational expertise Fills a genuine capacity gap: club staff cannot maintain this cadence in summer Produces tangible, reusable deliverables (reports, playbook) that outlast the placement Clear weekly schedule can be structured across all 5 club locations Track B: Marketing, Storytelling & Content Capture (2 Interns) This track embeds interns directly in club programming to capture storytelling content across the organization’s multiple channels. With a content review workflow centralized through Nina, interns can work semi‑independently to build a content bank and channel‑specific materials. Core Responsibilities Attend club field trips, industry club events, and behavioral health programming to capture content Produce short‑form video, photo, and written stories for assigned social media channels Submit all content to Nina for final approval before any public posting Build a content calendar and a content bank for September–November use post‑internship Learn channel‑specific best practices (LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube) and apply them Collaborate with Track A interns to story‑tell the research and data collection work Produce a closing video/highlight reel showcasing the summer internship program for the July 30 EXCO presentation Why This Works Nina and the marketing team are under‑resourced during summer — this is a real capacity lift Content captured during summer can be repurposed through fall, easing future workload Clear deliverables: a content bank and channel assets with centralized approval process Low risk : interns cannot post independently; all content flows through Nina #J-18808-Ljbffr Kids for the Future
