Computed Tomography Technologist - Travel Job

Become a vital part of a Myrtle Beach, SC hospital team as an experienced Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist. You will administer contrast materials, follow physician scanning instructions, and operate CT equipment to produce diagnostic images for emergent and urgent care patients in a free-standing emergency department setting. The role requires independent functioning on shift with regular call expectations and collaboration with ED clinicians and radiologists.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Radiography or CT.
• Active South Carolina radiologic technologist license (SCQRSA) or ability to obtain prior to start.
• CT experience and knowledge required. CT certification preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of CT technologist experience in clinical settings.
• Current BLS certification.
• Experience using GE CT platforms (GE 64-slice) and routine diagnostic radiography.
• Proficiency with electronic medical record documentation, Meditech preferred.
• Able to work independently in a small, free-standing ED environment and manage an average of 10–20 CT exams per shift.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in emergency department or free-standing ED imaging.
• Prior on-call experience with willingness to participate in a 2-call-shifts-per-month rotation.
• Prior travel clinician experience preferred.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 1900–0700.
• Work primarily in a free-standing emergency department setting with 1 CT/RAD tech per shift.
• Typical exam volume: approximately 10–20 CT exams per shift.
• Equipment: GE 64-slice CT, GE digital and portable x-ray units.
• Documentation system: Meditech.
• Call requirement: 2 call shifts per month.
