Position: Travel RN - Labor & Delivery

Shift: 7 AM - 7 PM

Location

City: Arlington, TX

Unit Information

The Labor and Delivery unit is dedicated to providing comprehensive care for mothers and newborns in a high-risk environment.

Number of Beds: 23
Type of Staff:
- Day Shift: 1 Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC), 6 Registered Nurses (RNs), 2 Certified Surgical Technologists (CST), 3 Operating Room (OR) RNs, 1 Secretary
- Night Shift: 1 CNC, 4-6 RNs, 1 CST, 1 Secretary
Patient Ratios: 2:1
Type of Equipment: EMR (CPN/Meditech)
On Call Requirement: 1 shift every 4 weeks
Floating Requirement: Within Women's Services - Postpartum/Antepartum

Qualifications

Ideal candidates will possess the following:

Required Skills:
- At least 1 year of travel experience in high-risk OB Labor & Delivery
- Newborn Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Intermediate fetal monitoring
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
Preferred Skills:
- OB Emergency Department (OBED) experience
- High risk/high volume experience

Typical Procedures

Candidates should be experienced in performing the following procedures:

All high-risk OB care including magnesium and insulin drips
Circulation and scrubbing during surgical procedures
