As a Armed Security Officer - Public Transit in Denver, CO , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a government transit location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage incidents, and support a professional environment through strong communication and customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site contacts and public agencies when needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of platforms, parking areas, administrative buildings, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points, observe public areas, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns according to post orders and reporting procedures.
• Support a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter unauthorized activity while following all applicable laws, post instructions, and armed post requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 3 or more years of experience as Military Police or Corrections Officer or Armed Security, or be a Certified Law Enforcement Graduate.
• Have 1 or more years of security-related experience.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.
• Possess a DD214 with Honorable Discharge or an Associates Degree or 60 college credits or a Police Academy Certificate or a Corrections Academy Certificate.
• Pepper Spray Certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
