Role Description This is a full‑time, on‑site Loan Officer role based in Phoenix, AZ. The Loan Officer will consult with prospective borrowers to understand their financial profile, explain loan options, and guide them through the mortgage process from initial inquiry to closing. Daily responsibilities include cultivating and managing a pipeline of purchase and refinance loans, completing loan applications, collecting and reviewing borrower documentation, and coordinating with processors and underwriters to ensure timely approvals. The role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with REALTORS®, referral partners, and internal teams through consistent communication and follow‑up. The Loan Officer will also monitor market trends and lending guidelines, provide status updates to clients and partners, and ensure all files comply with regulatory and company standards. Qualifications Demonstrated experience in a Loan Officer role, with a strong track record of originating residential mortgage loans and managing a loan pipeline. Solid understanding of finance principles, mortgage products, interest rate structures, and lending regulations. Working knowledge of underwriting guidelines and documentation requirements, with the ability to structure files for successful approvals. Proficiency in loan origination processes, including application intake, pre‑qualification, pre‑approval, and coordination through closing. Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly, set expectations, and support clients throughout the loan process. State‑specific mortgage loan originator (MLO) license in Arizona, and NMLS registration in good standing (or eligibility to obtain promptly). Experience building and maintaining referral relationships with real estate professionals and other partners is highly preferred. Comfort with mortgage technology platforms, LOS systems, and digital communication tools. Excellent organizational, time‑management, and follow‑up skills, with the ability to manage multiple files and deadlines.
