Quality Technician

Nesco Resource is currently sourcing for a Quality Technician for our client in Sterling Heights, MI.

Shift: 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, Monday through Saturday


Job Summary


We are seeking an entry-level Quality Technician to support manufacturing operations by ensuring production parts meet established quality standards through inspection, testing, and documentation. This role is responsible for inspecting raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to verify compliance with customer specifications and internal quality requirements.


Core Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Conduct first-piece inspections and routine in-process quality checks on the production floor.
• Maintain accurate inspection records, quality logs, and testing data in company systems.
• Identify, tag, and isolate non-conforming materials or defective parts, and report findings to leadership.
• Assist with root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and manufacturing processes.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment while following all company safety policies and procedures.

Requirements & Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience in manufacturing, machining, or a production environment preferred; entry-level candidates encouraged to apply.
• Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications preferred.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel and Word) and data entry.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
