ICU Registered Nurse

Location: Elko, NV

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 06:45 - 19:15, with rotating weekend hours as needed.

Job Description: The ICU Registered Nurse provides critical care for adult and geriatric patients in a high-acuity setting. The RN will be responsible for monitoring patient status, administering medications, and collaborating with a diverse team to ensure optimal patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and manage critically ill patients.
• Monitor vital signs and patient status using telemetry and bedside monitoring.
• Administer medications and perform treatments as prescribed.
• Assist in procedures such as ART lines, central lines, and ventilator care.
• Provide post-surgical and post-cardiac catheterization care.
• Manage chest tubes and electrolyte imbalances.
• Communicate effectively with the healthcare team and patient families.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a critical care setting.
• Current RN license in the state of Nevada.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
