These positions assist in the design, development, and release of medical device solutions to meet the Customer’s unmet needs. The positions also work with existing products to make them more efficient and cost-effective while assisting in day-to day production. Working with internal cross-functional teams, the position requires professionalism, dedication, and positive drive to ensure the completion of the projects in a time-sensitive, regulated environment.Key Program Info:Duration: Spring 2027 (January-May)Location: Conroe, TXWork Environment: OnsiteHours: Full-time for the duration of your co-opWhat You'll Do as an Engineering Co-opDevelop fixture designs to support production and improve processing including assembly, injection molding, robotic automation, and fastening operations including pneumatic presses, adhesives, and ultrasonic weldingCreate user friendly databases to enhance productivity and to help visually analyze large amounts of dataCreate new and revised CAD Models and drawings in SolidworksIdealize, prototype, and test new product conceptsEstablish mechanical and fluid testing protocolsCreate and update risk management documentationProvide technical support and problem solving for development, production and facility problemsCreate and revise production work instructions and other manufacturing documentation on new or improved processesDraft and file accurate design documentation at all times during work on a projectSubmit Engineering Change orders to revise existing drawings, processes, and documentationWork with quality and operations personnel to ensure ISO 13485:2016 complianceAny other duties or projects as required by the departmentThe Experience, Skills and Abilities NeededRequired:Student pursuing Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering – Biomedical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial EngineeringSophomore year requirements completed by program start (January 2027)Experience with 3D CAD software - SolidWorks preferredRead and understand technical drawings, blueprints, and specificationsPreferred:Active involvement in engineering/technical student organizations, competition teams, or honors societiesExperience with programming languages (Python or other)Pay range for this opportunity is $20-25/hr.Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed.
