Supervisory School Age Care Program Coordinator

Primary Purpose of the Position The Supervisory School Age Care Program Coordinator serves as a first‑level supervisor overseeing the daily and long‑range operation of a comprehensive School Age Care program for youth ages 5–12. The coordinator plans, develops, organizes, and oversees the long‑range and day‑to‑day operation of the program, including before and after school care, full‑day care/camp, and school holiday care/camp. The role requires leading staff, ensuring compliance with DoD and Air Force standards, maintaining national accreditation, managing budgets, and creating an environment where children thrive and families feel supported. Salary Range: $63,708 – $82,824 based on experience. Professional knowledge of child and youth development theory, methodology, and practices related to physical, emotional, cognitive, and social development. Knowledge of DoD certification, Boys and Girls Clubs of America (BGCA), 4‑H, and Council on Accreditation (COA) standards. Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures including National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Food Services regulations, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations and requirements, and Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) Playground guidelines. Skill in compiling and composing both quantitative and narrative reports, based on analyzing data and circumstances.
