The Mental Health Professional III role will deliver exceptional psychiatric treatment to patients and their loved ones. The position prioritizes patient-centered, high-quality care. Responsibilities include evaluations, psycho-education, group activities, treatment planning, discharge planning, and providing therapeutic counseling in one-on-one, family, and group sessions to produce positive patient outcomes using verified techniques. What you will do in this role Maintain effective communication with patients, families, multidisciplinary teams, and continuum of care providers. Maintain professionalism and strong communication with peers, staff, patients, and families; resolve conflicts. Maintain clear professional boundaries with peers, patients, and families. Provide education about state commitment processes, abuse reporting requirements, duty to warn, and guardianship processes. Demonstrate knowledge of and role in hospital codes. Serve as an educational resource to patients, families, interdisciplinary team members, payer representatives, and other parties about behavioral services. Review, coach, and help train new staff/interns within approved practice guidelines. Participate in developing department goals and clinical programming. Perform utilization review as assigned. Support Process and Quality Improvement initiatives. Qualifications Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date. Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date. Master's Degree. Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional/Mental Health Counselor (LPC/LMHC). Benefits Note: Eligibility for benefits may vary by location.
