Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery

Job Summary:

- Experience: Minimum 2 years required; no first-time travelers accepted
- Epic EMR: Experience required
- Certifications: BLS, FHM, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate (required); ACLS (preferred)
- Patient Diagnoses: Labor/preterm labor, low-risk antepartum, low-risk labor & delivery
- Unit Details: 8 labor rooms, 4 triage rooms
- Duties:
- Circulate in OB-GYN, post-op, pre-op
- Scrub
- Care for low-risk antepartum and low-risk labor & delivery patients
- Special Procedures:
- Administer blood/blood products
- Perform cardioversion/defibrillation
- Use cooling/warming blankets
- Manage drains, epidural pumps, PCA pumps, syringe pumps
- Operate wound vac
- Administer heparin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate
- Special Equipment:
- Attend all deliveries, including high-risk
- Assist in GYN surgeries
- Provide couplet care and care in transition nursery
- Staffing Ratio: 1:1 3
- Float Requirement: Yes; may float to post-partum and NICU based on skill set
