Director & Actuary, Reinsurance Risk & Retention Management Acumen Group is partnering with a leading organization in the life insurance and reinsurance sector to identify a Director & Actuary, Reinsurance Risk & Retention Management. This position will play a key role in supporting reinsurance treaty execution, retention management, pricing, and in-force treaty administration across assumed, ceded, and retrocession arrangements. The role offers significant exposure to senior leadership, carrier partners, and reinsurers while contributing to both new business initiatives and in-force management strategies. Key Responsibilities Draft, review, and negotiate reinsurance treaties, amendments, letters of intent, and related documentation. Support risk retention management and monitor assumed, ceded, and retained risk coverage. Maintain treaty inventories, treaty mapping documentation, and associated databases. Assist with reinsurance pricing, experience analysis, and treaty structuring initiatives. Prepare pricing memoranda and recommendations for new transactions and treaty modifications. Coordinate project plans, monitor progress, and provide updates on treaty management and YRT pricing initiatives. Collaborate with actuarial, legal, carrier, and reinsurance stakeholders throughout the transaction lifecycle. Qualifications ASA or FSA designation 5+ years of actuarial experience Experience with life insurance or annuity reinsurance Knowledge of YRT and Modco reinsurance structures Experience with UL, IUL, and VUL product pricing and reinsurance treaties Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment #J-18808-Ljbffr Acumen Group
