Principal Field Service Engineer

Johnson & Johnson

Principal Field Service Engineer supporting cardiovascular medical device installation, service, and repair across multiple U.S. territories. Manages customer technical support, preventative maintenance programs, and emergency service requests while mentoring field service team members and driving customer satisfaction improvements.

Responsibilities

Provide remote and on-site technical support for product installation, operation, repair, and upgrades
Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs while maintaining service records
Respond to customer emergency service requests, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions
Mentor and coach assigned field service team members with regular feedback and performance reviews
Drive customer satisfaction improvements through data analysis and corrective action implementation

Requirements

Experience with medical device installation, service, and troubleshooting
Strong customer communication and technical support skills
Ability to manage schedules and coordinate field service activities across assigned territory
Knowledge of preventative maintenance program development and implementation
Experience with service management systems and documentation procedures
Mentoring and coaching capability for field service team members
Willingness to travel and work field-based across assigned region
