The Nothing Bundt Cakes (NbC) Shift Lead works alongside the Bakery Manager and team members to create the highest-quality cakes, a warm, welcoming environment and a superior guest experience. The Shift Lead helps execute day-to-day responsibilities and ensuring that all aspects of the bakery operation comply with NbC standards. This role serves as an important carrier of the NbC culture to reinforce core values and bring our brand to life for our team members and guests!

The Shift Lead prioritizes the guest experience, models superior guest engagement and fosters a positive working environment. They partner with the General and Assistant Manager in leading all aspects of the guest experience, cake production, brand and merchandise presentation, work environment and inventory control. They support the managers in training team members, directing daily work responsibilities, and providing performance feedback and coaching.

The Shift Lead ensures NbC product, service, bakery environment and visual merchandising standards are consistently upheld and that all bakery operations adhere to food and health safety standards and NbC policies and procedures. They assist the bakery managers in executing operational and administrative responsibilities, which may include production plans, productivity goal setting and expense control procedures.

The Shift Lead co-manages special-order fulfillment via web and phone for individual guests and corporate accounts as well as large, complex orders and deliveries. They co-facilitate the opening and closing of the bakery, including cash drawer balancing. They contribute to marketing strategy execution in the local community by helping to coordinate and participating in special, brand-building events.

The Shift Lead maintains hands-on knowledge of all bakery roles and steps in regularly to perform various responsibilities as business needs dictate. They must be proficient in all frosting, utility, and cake flipping and storage procedures. They have the ability to delegate tasks, communicate clear expectations, direct others' work and manage performance when Assistant and General Manager are not present. They demonstrate strong learning agility, with a passion to grow and excel.

The Shift Lead ensures all directives from management are being upheld and performed well. They comply with all other applicable job expectations when performing said job eg. frosting, Joy Creating, utility. They strictly follow all opening and closing procedures and complete assigned checklists. They comply with all rules and regulations in the Employee Handbook. They have flexible availability of at least 30 hours the week of a large holiday. They have impeccable communication skills and remain alert to all goings-on within the bakery when other managers are not present. They are able to routinely lift up to 50lbs and stand for extended periods of time.

Compensation: $14.50 - $16.50 per hour
