Bilingual Construction Safety Coordinator

We are seeking a bilingual Construction Safety Coordinator to support safety operations on a large-scale Amazon Distribution Center construction project in Austin, TX. This individual will work closely with site leadership, subcontractors, and craft personnel to promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA standards and client-specific safety requirements.

The ideal candidate has experience supporting active commercial or industrial construction sites and can effectively communicate safety expectations to both English and Spanish-speaking workers.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct daily site safety inspections and audits.
• Monitor work activities to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and project safety requirements.
• Lead new hire orientations and site-specific safety training.
• Facilitate toolbox talks and daily safety meetings.
• Identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
• Maintain safety documentation, reports, and training records.
• Partner with project management and subcontractors to promote continuous safety improvement.
• Ensure proper PPE usage and adherence to site safety protocols.
• Assist with job hazard analyses (JHAs), permitting, and risk assessments.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of construction safety experience.
• OSHA 500 Certification.
• OSHA 30 Certification.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA construction standards.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience supporting large commercial, industrial, distribution center, manufacturing, data center, or warehouse construction projects.
• Experience working with multiple subcontractors on active construction sites.
• First Aid/CPR Certification
