Electrical Engineer — Substations & Power Distribution

To be considered for an interview, please make sure your application is full in line with the job specs as found below.

DIZARIO Search is conducting a search for an Electrical Engineer for an established industrial manufacturer whose products serve demanding industries worldwide. Our client places a strong emphasis on product quality and dependable customer service, making plant reliability and your engineering work central to its success.

This direct-hire opportunity offers a competitive base salary, comprehensive benefits, paid time off, and a 401(k) with company match. Relocation assistance may be considered for candidates with the right experience.

If you enjoy figuring out why equipment keeps failing, finding a lasting solution, and seeing an upgrade through startup, this role is worth a conversation. You'll work closely with maintenance and operations on the electrical systems that keep the plant running, with ownership of projects where you can see the results of your work.

  • Maintain and improve electrical substations and industrial power distribution systems, including transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, motor control centers (MCCs), and motors.
  • Troubleshoot electrical failures, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and implement corrective actions that improve equipment reliability.
  • Manage electrical capital projects and equipment upgrades, including scope, budgets, schedules, contractor coordination, installation, commissioning, and startup.
  • Support planned plant outages, equipment rebuilds, and preventive maintenance to reduce downtime.
  • Work with maintenance and operations to prioritize electrical infrastructure improvements and ensure safe project execution.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Three or more years of industrial or manufacturing experience as an Electrical Engineer, Plant Electrical Engineer, Electrical Maintenance Engineer, or Power Systems Engineer.
  • Must be well versed in electrical substations and industrial power distribution, including transformers, switchgear, and medium-voltage or high-voltage systems.
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting skills and experience improving plant reliability and delivering electrical upgrades or capital projects.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.

This position focuses on electrical substations and plant power infrastructure. PLC programming and controls experience alone do not meet the requirements.

If this sounds like the kind of work you enjoy, I'd like to hear about your experience and share more about the role. xhyhwjd Send me your resume or reach out directly at View phone number on manufacturingworkers.com or
