Overview The Patient Services Representative coordinates and participates in a variety of duties associated with daily clinic preparation process, patient identification, patient check‑in, charge posting, cash management, and basic patient appointment scheduling. Conveys a positive image and provides information to ensure patients' needs are met. Qualifications Education: GED/HS Diploma Work Experience: Customer Service Responsibilities Coordinate and participate in daily clinic preparation tasks, including patient identification, patient check‑in/out, charge posting, cash management, appointment scheduling, registration, account setup, and phone calls. Manage telephone system, take and deliver messages to physicians, nurses, and others; report medical information from patients and referring physicians accurately and in a timely manner. Distribute all messages according to practice communication standards. Serve as a role model by conducting oneself in a responsible, professional manner. Manage all incoming patient care requests related to in‑basket activities, referrals, work queue activity, and incoming telephone calls. Proficient with insurance coverage rules, eligibility, network coverage, and benefits; complete mandatory insurance training and ongoing competency refreshers. Initiate and secure prior authorizations as needed. Compensation and Benefits The compensation range for this position is $17.67 per hour to $28.63 per hour. This represents a good‑faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will depend on a variety of factors including experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked, and compensation model.
