Quality Inspector

Job Title: Quality Inspector Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Quality Inspector to ensure the highest standards of quality assurance, inspection, and control in our food manufacturing processes. Responsibilities Conduct pre-operational inspections of equipment and facilities based on the assigned shift. Perform environmental sampling of equipment, drains, and raw and finished products. Calibrate thermometers and scales daily. Monitor sanitation standard operating procedures and document SSOPs according to the company's program. Monitor and document the quality of packaging, raw materials, and finished products. Oversee foreign material detection and rejection. Record weights of finished products and take temperatures of raw and finished products. Monitor physical, chemical, and sensory characteristics of raw and finished products. Generate and complete required records and documentation daily for each product line per customer specifications. Perform HACCP monitoring and verification for all critical control points of the company's HACCP programs. Collaborate with USDA and production employees. Ensure food security and safety. Essential Skills High School diploma with specialized training in food safety principles and HACCP. Three to five years of experience in quality assurance in a food processing environment. Basic math and computer skills, with the ability to read and analyze process charts, graphs, and logs. Strong analytical and logical problem-solving skills. HACCP certification or the ability to become HACCP certified. Excellent oral and written communication skills at both technical and general levels. Additional Skills & Qualifications Bilingual English/Spanish speaking skills are a plus. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work environment is non-climate controlled, with shifts starting at 5 am and concluding upon task completion from Monday to Friday, with some Saturdays required if production demands. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Forest Park, GA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.50 - $21.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
