Registered Nurse - Day ShiftBrightStar Care of Denton is seeking a Registered Nurse to care for a patient in Alvord, TX. You will be responsible for educating them and their families on prevention and healthy habits. The ideal candidate will be a responsible and well-trained professional able to give the best nursing care with little supervision. We are looking for a candidate who has more than 1 year of nursing experience and less than 5 years. This includes day shifts 4 days a week.RN Benefits:Competitive pay starting at $70,000 - $80,000 per year commensurate with experienceWeekly payFlexible schedule – work as many or as few hours as you like!All Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided at no costMileage reimbursementFree continuing educationHome Health or Facility shifts availableMobile technology to access schedule and case documentationOne-to-one patient careResponsibilities:Monitor patient's condition and assess their needs to provide the best possible care and advicePerform routine procedures (blood pressure measurements, administering injections etc.) and fill in patients' chartsAdjust and administer patient's medication and provide treatments according to physician's ordersProvide instant medical care in emergenciesCounsel client and family through care process while updating the family on a regular basisFoster a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients and their familiesSkills:Proven experience as a registered nurseExcellent knowledge of nursing care methods and proceduresExcellent knowledge of emergency careIn-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures (sanitation, decontamination etc.) and willingness to follow them at all timesA team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skillsResponsible and compassionateOutstanding organizational and multi-tasking skillsPatient with excellent problem-solving skillsRequirements:Current unrestricted license as a registered nurse in the state of TexasPreferred: Bachelor's degree in Nursing.Must be flexible for both days and nightsWound care experience is preferredProficiency in IV Skills and Central Line (PICC/PORT) care is requiredCertified CPR and negative TB skin test or chest x-rayMinimum one (1) year of documented experience required in a home health agency, primary care clinic or health facility, preferred. Three to five years is preferredPossess exceptional nursing assessment skillsAnalytic/Critical thinker.Licensed driver with valid automobile insuranceAbility to work on weekends, nights and holidaysReliable transportationMust be able to stand walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client.
