Maintenance MechanicThe Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment, machinery, and facility systems to ensure optimal operation and minimal downtime. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.Perform preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems according to established schedulesDiagnose mechanical issues and perform timely repairs to minimize production or operational downtimeInspect equipment for proper operation and identify potential problems before they escalateRepair or replace defective parts, including motors, belts, bearings, pumps, valves, and hydraulic or pneumatic systemsMaintain and repair facility systems such as HVAC, plumbing, and basic electrical componentsRead and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematicsUse hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectivelyMaintain accurate maintenance records and documentationFollow all safety procedures and comply with company policies and regulatory requirementsAssist with installation and setup of new equipment as neededHigh school diploma or equivalent (technical or trade school preferred)Proven experience as a maintenance mechanic or similar roleStrong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical systemsAbility to troubleshoot and solve problems efficientlyFamiliarity with maintenance tools and equipmentAbility to read and interpret technical documents and diagramsGood communication and teamwork skillsAbility to lift heavy objects (typically up to 50 lbs or more)Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work in confined or elevated spacesComfortable working in varying environmental conditions (heat, cold, noise, etc.)May work in industrial, manufacturing, commercial, or facility settingsMay require shift work, overtime, or on-call availability depending on operational needs
