Machine Learning Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Machine Learning Engineers - you have built models in product from idea to delivery. You are passionate about digging into the data, sanitizing it, studying it, coming up with ideas and building models. You will also be responsible for maintaining the models in production, building infrastructure to iteratively update the models, look for distribution shifts in data and adjust models accordingly. You will also be responsible for the architecture of the system, design reviews and code reviews.

You can expect to work on

Anything and everything. At this early stage, you will find yourself:

• Building targeting models for Direct Mail Channel

• Building risk models from both existing credit bureau data and Aven customers’ performance data

• Building pricing and product relevance models

• Building models to automate a lot of back office human processing of documents and other tasks

• Weighing in on strategy. Every voice is important to help inform our decisions

• Become an expert in our product space, such that you're able to find new opportunities from data and models

You should join us if

• You have led large technically complex projects with a lot of moving parts

• You have a lot of experience with a lot of disparate systems

• You have worked on production grade compilers, operating systems, or large distributed systems

• You can jump into a new environment and hit the ground running without much hand holding

• You’re fine with us not having answers yet. You want to be part of figuring out the answers

• You thrive in highly collaborative environments and are down to riff with us on anything from company mission to software architecture to user research

• You enjoy diving into the deep end and feel like that’s where the greatest personal growth happens

• You are fearless about learning the details, and understanding every single minute detail of an underlying system or process
