Member Service RepresentativeLocation: Washington, DC (Remote) Type: Contract (W-2) Compensation: $25/hourWe are seeking a Member Service Representative to support a high-volume healthcare contact center during Open Season. In this role, you will assist members with benefits, claims, enrollment, billing inquiries, and general customer service needs while providing a positive customer experience. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to navigate multiple systems while handling inbound calls. Successful candidates will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and maintaining confidentiality when handling sensitive member information.Responsibilities:Respond to inbound member inquiries regarding benefits, claims, enrollment, and billingResearch and resolve customer issues while providing accurate informationDocument customer interactions and maintain detailed recordsNavigate multiple systems simultaneously while assisting membersEscalate complex issues when appropriateSupport enrollment and account-related transactionsProvide professional and empathetic customer serviceMaintain productivity and quality standards in a contact center environmentRequired Qualifications:High School Diploma or GEDMinimum 1 year of customer service experience2-3 years of previous inbound call center experienceStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work in a high-volume call center environmentExperience using multiple computer systems simultaneouslyStrong computer proficiency with the ability to quickly learn and navigate multiple systems simultaneously, including Microsoft Office and customer service platformsStrong problem-solving and organizational skillsAbility to work independently in a remote environmentPreferred Qualifications:2-5 years of inbound call center experienceHealthcare or health insurance experienceClaims processing experienceMember services experienceEnrollment or benefits administration experienceExperience working in a quality or production-driven environmentExperience working with healthcare or insurance platforms such as NICE, OnBase, FEPDirect, Advance Capture, or similar customer service systems.Exposure to medical terminology, healthcare services, or insurance products
